COEUR d'ALENE — Sophomore Allie Ferrin had seven kills for North Idaho College, which fell to Southern Idaho 25-21, 25-12, 25-19 in the Scenic West Athletic Conference final for both schools on Saturday at Christianson Gymnasium.
The loss eliminated NIC from postseason contention.
NIC (15-12, 4-6 SWAC) finished tied for fourth with Utah State-Eastern (16-9, 4-6), but the Eagles of Price, Utah, hold the tiebreaker and will advance to the four-team Region 18 Tournament starting Wednesday at conference champion Salt Lake in Taylorsville, Utah.
Sophomore Rylie Dolven and freshman Olivia Zazuetta (Lakeland High) had nine assists each for NIC.
Mina Benucci had 10 kills for CSI (18-8, 7-3), which finished second in the conference.
