Cardinals sweep Colorado Northwestern

COEUR d'ALENE — Madilyn Harper, a sophomore middle blocker from Blackfoot High, had six kills for the Cardinals in a 25-15, 25-12, 25-11 Scenic West Athletic Conference sweep of the Spartans of Rangely, Colo., at Christianson Gymnasium.

Allie Ferrin, a sophomore from University High in Spokane, had five kills, and sophomore Brecklan Weaver had five digs for NIC (12-8, 1-2 SWAC).

"We got our serve on track today, really putting a lot of pressure on them and they weren't able to be as aggressive offensively," NIC coach Drew Pascua said. "And we were able to take advantage in transition."

NIC travels to Snow College (8-10, 1-2) next Friday.

Colorado Northwestern is 3-17, 0-4.
