Cardinals finish second at Plains Regional to punch ticket to nationals
GEHRING, Neb. — North Idaho College freshman Ryann Walker was the top local finisher, shooting a 81-79—160 to finish fourth in the Plains District Tournament on Tuesday at Monument Shadows Golf Course.
NIC finished second to qualify for the NJCAA Tournament May 12-15 at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Finney County, Kan.
NIC sophomore Rien Solodan was seventh (89-73—162) to finish in the top 10.
Gaemphuang Ketrahong of Dodge City Community College in Kansas won with a 79-72—151, leading the Conquistadors to the district title, which included teams from Region 6, 9 and 18.
