Cardinals fall to Northwest College

TWIN FALLS — The Cardinals shot 18 of 57 in a loss to the Trappers of Powell, Wyo., in the Coca-Cola Invitational on the campus of the College of Southern Idaho. 

"I've got to do a better job and get these kids prepared to play at this level," NIC coach Nathan Covill said. "But I'm not there yet and that falls on me." 

Sophomore Ripeka Edwards had 10 points and nine rebounds for NIC (0-2), which travels to Greyson College of Denison, Texas, next Saturday, and to Murray State College in Tishomingo, Okla., on Sunday.

Northwest is 1-1.
