SOFTBALL: Cards go 3-1 over the weekend

The North Idaho College softball team travelled to Yakima, WA to take on the Yakima Valley College Yaks on Saturday, April 23. 

In game one, the Cardinals closed out on the Yaks 20-4. Reiss McIntyre went four-for-for with one single, a double, a home run, and four RBIs. Taya Escalante went four-for-five with two singles, two doubles and two stolen bases. Pitcher Abbey Brooks got the win in the circle while Reiss McIntyre got the save. 

Game two did not have the intensity the Cards needed, as they fell to the Yaks 4-6. Addison Ribordy led the cards as she went two-for-two with one walk, two singles and one RBI. Lexy Orien went two-for-three with two doubles and a stolen base.

The Cardinals faced Wenatchee Valley College, home on Memorial Field the following day--Sunday, April 24. The Cards defeated the Knights in game one 14-9.

Aleksya Batoon went three-for-three with one walk, two doubles, a home run, and four RBIs. Hattie Imbler-Bremner got the win in the circle and Reiss McIntyre got the save.

In game two, the Cardinals ended it early in the fifth inning, with a final score of 14-6. Addison Riibordy went four-for-four with four singles, one stolen base, and two RBIs. Abbey Brooks got the win in the circle.

The Cardinals will face Treasure Valley Community College on Friday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., home on Memorial Field.
