Cards defeat Lilac City Legends & Gonzaga Club

The North Idaho College men's basketball team defeated the Lilac City Legends 135-101 on Thursday, December 8.

The Cardinals were led by freshman point guard Cobi Campbell who put up an astonishing 41 points. Five other Cardinals also saw double-digit scoring; Taden King with 24 points, Vanti Erving with 23 points, Brendan Johnson with 16 points, Xavier Bailey with 15 points, and Julius Mims with 11 points. Bailey and Mims both had double-doubles, as they pulled down 10 rebounds apiece. The Cards shot nearly 58 percent from beyond the arc.

On Saturday, December 10 the Cardinals hosted the Gonzaga University Club team. The Cards came away victorious with a final score of 94-76. 

Julius Mims led the Cardinals with 19 points while teammates Cobi Campbell, Taden King, Vanti Erving and Kameryn Thomas added 17, 17, 13, and 12 respectively.

The Cardinals are back in action Friday, December 16 at Post Falls High School for the NWAC Crossover Tournament as they face Southwestern Oregon at 7:30 p.m.
