MEN'S BASKETBALL: Guess, Naccarato power Cardinals to victory


Sophomores Christian Guess and Joey Naccarato each recorded impressive double-doubles in a 110-63 victory Treasure Valley Community College Saturday afternoon, Feb. 1 at Christianson Gymnasium.

Guess led all scorers with 22 points while grabbing 15 rebounds. Naccarato tossed in 21 points while securing 18 boards as the Cards outrebounded the Chukars 58-28.

NIC led by nine points (49-38) at the half but came alive in the final frame, outscoring Treasure Valley 61-25 to win. Besides Guess and Naccarato, four other Cardinals finished in double figure scoring. Sophomore Nate Pryor hit 7-of-8 from the field for his 17 points while sophomores Jaden Dewar and Emmitt Taylor III came off the bench to score 15 and 14 points respectively. Sophomore James Carlson finished with 13 points.

North Idaho College, now 21-1 overall and 9-0 in the Northwest Athletic Conference Eastern Region, is back in action Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Big Bend Community College. Catch the 7:30 p.m. tip-off on NIC’s live streaming webcast found at
