WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Lady Cards fall to Yaks


The Lady Cards took on Yakima Valley College on Saturday, Jan. 25 but fell short as the Yaks prevailed 70-63. NIC (5-3 conference, 11-8 overall) retains the number four spot in the Eastern Region of the Northwest Athletic Conference, while Yakima is currently sitting at second in the East (6-2 conference, 16-5 overall).

Sophomore Sydnie Peterson put up 22 points for the Cards; 12 of which consisted of three-pointers. Sophomore Anna Schrade also saw double-digit scoring with 13 points. Sophomore Halle Eborall had a well-rounded game as she tallied eight points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals.

The Lady Cardinals will host the Chukars from Treasure Valley Community College on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christianson Gymnasium.
