WOMEN'S SOCCER: Season Comes to an End

A year that saw tremendous ups and downs came to an end for women’s soccer yesterday with a 2-1 loss against Spokane Falls Community College. NIC took the lead early in the first half from a goal by Sofia Schnepf. Sydney Moore put in a great effort to win the ball back from a Spokane Falls defender and found Autumn Stewart who eventually passed the ball to Schnepf.

Women’s soccer fell short of their goal set at the beginning of the year (to make the NWAC Playoffs), but the group of sophomores that will be leaving the team will be missed dearly. At the end of the spring, all of the sophomores are expected to graduate and 4 or 5 of them will move on to four-year schools.

NIC’s women’s soccer team finishes the 2019 season with a league record of 6-5-3 and an overall record of 8-6-5.
