Dan Hogan enters his 21st season coaching at North Idaho College and 16th year as head women’s soccer coach. During Hogan’s tenure, his teams have posted an overall record of 205-63-46 with two league championships, two conference tournament titles, one district championship, and a third-place national tournament finish. The women’s soccer team has been ranked as high as 7th in the nation in 2011. 2016 saw Hogan named Northwest Athletic Conference East Region Coach of the Year. In 2017, Hogan coached the NIC Women’s Soccer team to the programs 200th win!

Hogan has more than 30 years of soccer coaching experience and holds a National “B” License and an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Hogan graduated from North Idaho College in 1981 and earned a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics at Washington State University. Hogan resides in Coeur d’Alene with his wife Jo Marie and daughter Rachael.

Kellsi Parson

Assistant Coach

Kellsi Parson is in her second year as an assistant coach. She played as a midfielder for NIC in 2012-2013. Her team in 2012 finished 9-4-2. After her two years at NIC she went back to Lewiston, Idaho and coached the high school soccer team before returning to NIC.

Kellsi played high school soccer at Lewiston High School where she was a four year starter. She was named to the All League Team all four years and as a junior was named Most Valuable Player of the Inland Empire League. She was a part of the first team in Lewiston High School soccer history to make a state tournament appearance.

She returned to Coeur d’Alene and will finish her degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Education from Lewis-Clark State College in December 2018.

Goalkeeper Coach

Lauren Gibson is back for her fourth year as an assistant. She played goalkeeper for NIC in 2010 – 2011. Her 2011 team finished the year with a 14-2-1 record and were ranked 7th in the nation. After NIC she played at Hawaii Pacific University. In 2017, her NIC starting goalkeeper was selected to the NWAC All-Star team and went on to Portland State University to play.

She returned to Coeur d’Alene to finish her degree in Criminal Justice, graduating from Lewis and Clark State College in May of 2016. She works for Kootenai County and resides in Coeur d'Alene with her husband Trevor and daughter Camryn.
