WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: NIC overcomes double-digit deficit to defeat the Knights


The Lady Cardinals beat Wenatchee Valley College 66-63 on Wednesday, Jan. 15 by overcoming a cold shooting start and exploding for 30 points in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Sydnie Peterson led the way with 24 points and 6-10 shooting from beyond the arc. Halle Eborall chipped in with 19 points, eight rebounds and six steals to help NIC overcome a double-digit deficit early in the fourth quarter. Alex Carlton came up big with a game-winning 3-point shot with six seconds left to cap off the rally.

The Lady Cards are now 8-7 overall and 2-2 in Eastern Region play. Blue Mountain Community College visits NIC's Christianson Gymnasium on Saturday, Jan. 18 with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.
