MEN'S BASKETBALL: Hot shooting leads to blow-out win

North Idaho College shot a blistering 86% in the second half, 74% for the game, in a 123-77 victory over Treasure Valley Saturday afternoon at Christianson Gymnasium in their NWAC home-opener.

Six Cards scored in double-figures led by the 24 points of Nate Pryor. The freshman was lights-out going 11 of 12 from the field while freshman Emmitt Taylor III hit 9 of 14 shots for his 23 points, including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc in a reserve role. Sophomore Ray Quan Evans added 12 points to go along with 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in just 17 minutes of playing time. The deep Cardinal bench outscored the Chukars bench 54-13 with James Carlson and Iaian McLaughlin each getting 10 points.

“We discussed some things at halftime and the guys responded,” said Head Coach Corey Symons. “Much better effort.”
