MEN'S GOLF: NIC tie for 2nd at Puget Sound Invite

10/03/2018

The Puget Sound Invitational concluded with the men’s team finishing tied for second place. The event was held at both the Olympic and Cascade courses at the Gold Mountain Golf Complex in Bremerton, WA.  The Cardinals were the only two year school in a field full of four year universities. Freshman Dawson Strobel led the way for the Cardinals with rounds of 74-72 landing him in a T4 finish individually. Freshman Bo Knittel (71-77 T7) and Nick Roberts (77-72 T10) also had top 10 finishes. “It was a decent and respectable start to our year,” head coach Russell Grove said. “Obviously the goal is to always win, but with it being our first event with four freshman in the field and matched up against bigger schools, it’s a promising start to the season.”

The Cardinals compete again on October 8 & 9th at the Lilac Collegiate Invite hosted at Liberty Lake GC in Liberty Lake, WA.
