VOLLEYBALL: The Cardinals make it to the finals of the Spokane Invitational

The Lady Cardinals started off Saturday morning with Edmonds CC who beat the Cardinals two weeks ago in Eugene. NIC took lead right away and showed lots of teamwork and grit. The Cardinals led the whole match not letting Edmonds finish NIC won in 4.

NIC then face the CC of Spokane Sasquatch in the championship match. CCS started quickly and took it to the Cardinals. Unfortunately, Cardinals were unable to catch a break and get back into a rhythm and the Sasquatch beat Cardinals in 4.

“We had a great weekend, with great competition both days. We have made huge improvements from two weeks ago and that’s what we were wanting to see. Spokane did a good job of executing their offense. We just couldn’t make adjustments fast enough. We have lots of work to do but I’m excited with the direction we are going in,” said coach Stanley.
