MEN'S BASKETBALL: Cardinals win NWAC Tournament opener


Third-seeded North Idaho College knocked off 2nd-seeded Lower Columbia College 86-68 in the opening round of the NWAC Championship Tournament Saturday night in Everett, Washington.

RayQuan Evans had a monster night with a game-high 27 points on 11 of 16 shooting. The freshman added 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals to round out his sensational night. Freshman Jarod Greene, the NWAC’s leader in Field Goal Shooting percentage at 69%, scored 17 points on 8 of 9 shooting. Sophomore Tyler Brimhall added 15 points while Sophomore Jalen Burkett added 11.
