WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Tight Lady Cardinals lose in opening game of NWAC Tourney


The Lady Cardinals started the game "tight" and couldn't buy a shot in the first half. They never recovered dropping the first round loss game to #8 Lower Columbia College, 84-63, at the NWAC Tournament in Everett, Wash. The Cards shot 17% from the field in the first half, falling behind 43-18 at half. LCC shot 54% for the game, while the Cards shot 26%.

Sophomore Whitney Meier led the Cardinals with 24 points, including six 3-pointers in her final game. Sydney Hovde added 16 points and Cierra Dvorak chipped in 11 points and 5 assists.

The Lady Cardinals finished the season 19-10 and were represented in every 2017-2018 NWAC Under Armour Coaches Poll being ranked as high as third in the entire NWAC.
