WRESTLING: Cards Fall to No. 1 Ranked Clackamas

The Cardinals wrestling squad took to the mat against the Clackamas Cougars. The Cards began the evening at 197, where Micah Tynanes made his debut as a Cardinal against the No. 5 Ranked Gage Harrah. Tynanes put forward a good effort but ultimately dropped the match 4-12 to Harrah. At the next two weights, the Cardinals appeared to build some momentum, with heavyweight, Damian Trujillo, and 125, Esco Walker, picking up victories for NIC. Following the 125 lb match, the Cardinals dropped the next 6 matches, until the final match of the evening at 184, where NIC’s Levi Perry was able to re-match Clackamas’s Nick Maximov. Perry wasted no time in the match racking up a huge lead before ultimately winning by Fall and avenging his previous loss.
