01/18/2018

The 6th ranked Walla Walla CC edged 5th ranked North Idaho College 85-82 Wednesday night at Rolly Williams Court, snapping the Cardinals 21-game home winning streak dating back to December of 2016. Trailing 48-38 at the half, the Warriors (14-4, 4-1) outscored the Cardinals  47-34 in the final 20 minutes to complete the comeback from a 18-point deficit. Freshman RayQuan Evans led three Cards in double figures with 27 points while adding a game-high 12 rebounds. Sophomores Jalen Burkett and Charles Williams each added 15 points.

Walla Walla Sophomore Landon Radliff led all scorers with a game-high 31 points.

“We knew it was going to be a battle, we just didn’t  finish,” said Head Coach Corey Symons. “We’ll dust ourselves off and get set for a huge game on Saturday.”

The Cardinals (13-5, 3-2), third in the NWAC East Division, host 7th-ranked CC of Spokane (14-4, 4-1) at 4pm. The Sasquatch share a three-way tie at the top of the Division with Walla Walla and Wenatchee Valley.
