MEN'S BASKETBALL: Cards Double Up Northwest College


For the second time in less that 24 hours the Cardinals Men's Basketball team knocked off NJCAA rival Northwest College, 71-61. The Cardinals (2-0) were again led by freshman, point guard RayQuan Evans, with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Evans made 14 of 17 free throw attempts as the Trappers had difficulty containing the 6-4 point guard. Post player Jared Green also scored in double figures for the second consecutive game, with 10 points on 4-6 shooting  and 7 rebounds. Northwest College, from Powell, Wyo., falls to 5-3 with the defeat.

The Cardinals are on the road for tournaments in Everett, Washington and San Jose, California for the first two weekends in December before returning to Christianson Gym for the Holiday Inn Express NWAC Crossover on Sunday, December 17, 2017. The three day tournament includes NWAC rivals Shoreline Community College, Highline College, and Chemeketa CC in a round-robin format.
