Cardinals Steamroll Wyoming All-Stars
Sophomore post Ziggy Sattherthwaite scored a career high 30 points and gathered 8 rebounds, leading the Cardinals to a lopsided victory over the Wyoming All-Stars, 102-70. Coach Corey Symons was able to play the entire roster in the contest, and with the exception of starting guard Adam Gotelli everyone scored. Gotelli did contribute with a career high 9 assists as the Cardinals had 5 players in double figures in their season-high offensive output. Starters Marcus Golder and Sam Dowd had 14 and 11 points respectively. Off the bench Dalen Erickson continued his strong play with 11 points and 8 boards, and freshman Drew Sheridan had a career high 10 points and also had 8 rebounds.
The Cardinals head into the holiday break with a 9-1 record, before returning to host the 9th annual Coeur d'Alene INN-vitational on December 28-30 at Christianson Gymnasium. The Cardinals will open the 8-team tournament on Wednesday, December 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the final game of the evening against Grays Harbor CC. Game times begin at 1:30 p.m..with 4 games each day. Other teams in the tournament include Wenatchee Valley College, Blue Mountain, Seattle Elite, Fairchild Air Force Base, and four-year Canadian schools Medicine Hat University and Lethbridge University.
