Women's Basketball beats the North Idaho All-Stars


The North Idaho College women’s basketball team beat the talented North Idaho College All-Stars for the second time this year 64-62 on Saturday, December 10, 2016.  Freshman Gia Sorn led all players with 17 points.  She also pulled down 7 rebounds and blocked 4 shots.  Freshmen Cierra Dvorak and Whitney Meier both added 10 points.  Freshman Shanna Floerchinger grabbed an amazing 17 rebounds while scoring 9 points.  The North Idaho All-Stars were led by former NIC stand-out Natalie Nichols with 16 points and 7 rebounds.  Sydney (Butler) Smyly also scored 16 points while pulling down 7 rebounds.  Former NIC Lady Cardinal Jansen Butler shot 4-6 from the three point line and finished with 12 points.

With the win the Lady Cardinals improve to 5-3 overall.  They return to action December 28-30 at the Lower Columbia Holiday Classic in Longview, WA.  Their first round match-up is against Highline College on December 28 at 5:00 PM.
