Ken Thompson enters his first season as head coach of the North Idaho College men’s soccer team. He served as the assistant coach to head coach Scott Moorcroft for four seasons from 2006 to 2009 before departing to manage the Sting Soccer Club in 2010. As the director of coaching for Sting, Thompson’s primary responsibilities were overseeing the development of more than 300 youth players and supervising a staff of 31 team coaches.
Thompson has nearly 10 years of coaching experience and played at the collegiate level for Gonzaga University and Seattle Pacific University. He earned a USSF “B” License in 2007 and holds a bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University and a juris doctorate from American University.
Thompson is a Coeur d’Alene native and is a former high school Idaho Gatorade Soccer Player of the Year. He has deep roots in the soccer community within and beyond the Inland Northwest.

Travis Jette enters his first season as assistant coach of the North Idaho College men’s soccer team. Originally from Missoula, Mont., Jette played for NIC, winning two Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) championships as a Cardinal and earning first team All-Conference. He went on to play for Whitworth University, winning two conference championships in the Northwest Conference and earning first team All-Conference and third team All-Far West Region honors. He graduated from Whitworth in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
Jette has coached club soccer in Missoula for the past two years and served as a volunteer assistant for the University of Montana women’s soccer team in 2010.
