Athletic trainers help to enhance the quality of health care for athletes and those engaged in physical activity by preventing, evaluating, managing and rehabilitating injuries. NIC's Athletic Training program provides students with the opportunity to work with athletes from nine highly competitive varsity sports, while under the direct supervision of a certified athletic trainer.
Students interested in transferring to a four-your institution to earn a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and/or Sports Medicine should complete the NIC Associate of Science requirements for Physical Education and the following Athletic Training Option courses:
